Ayton
Ayton Castle is unmissable if you visit from the North by train. Its red sandstone vividly contrasts against the bright greenery surrounding it. It is a lovely place to walk around and you can even stay in the Gatehouse.

Burnmouth
Burnmouth is the first and last village off the A1 in Scotland. The small working harbour is full of character and the road down is certainly an exciting one by car. The specular views from The Berwickshire Coastal Path alone make it a very worthwhile visit!

Coldingham
The picture-postcard conservation village is situated between Eyemouth and St Abbs. Built around the historic 12th Century Priory, Coldingham has its own award winning beach, a network of coastal and village walks as well as the Luckenbooth Visitor Interpretation Centre.

Cove
Berwickshire Coast’s most northernly point, Cove is a small village with stunning views from the cliff tops. It is also home to one of four very emotive memorials which commemorate the 1881 fishing disaster.

Eyemouth
Overlooked by the imposing Gunsgreen House and with its small fishing fleet and pontoons for leisure craft and charter boats, Eyemouth is proud to remain a working harbour where you can see daily activity. The town also has an impressive range of leisure facilities, services and shops, selling everything from supplies and practical items to locally sourced produce and crafts.

Pease Bay
Surrounded by sandstone cliffs, Pease Bay is your typical perfect sandy beach with great facilities at the holiday park beside it. just a short distance walk away is the Pease Dean Wildlife Reserve where you can spot bats, roe deer and an abundance of flora and fauna.

Siccar Point
Siccar Point is the famous geological location which proved James Hutton’s Unconformity theory in 1788. This showed that the Earth’s existence was much greater than what was in the bible. It is highly engaging whilst the views are incredible too!

St Abb's Head National Nature Reserve
Breath-taking coastal headland with dramatic cliffs, famed for its seabird colonies! This cliff-top nature reserve has fresh sea air and rugged coastal scenery aplenty. It gives you the feeling of being somewhere really wild and remote, yet it’s just off the A1.

St Abbs
Wander around this quaint working harbour, where you can see fishermen landing shellfish and divers heading out to explore the world-famous waters of the Berwickshire Marine Reserve. St Abbs lies at the foot of the National Trust for Scotland Nature Reserve and, with its cafes and visitor centre, it's the perfect place to begin a day in the outdoors.

St Abbs & Eyemouth Voluntary Marine Reserve
The waters off the Berwickshire coast have long been considered special by marine biologists as they contain a fantastic abundance and diversity of marine life. Add to this clear waters and spectacular underwater scenery and it is not surprising that divers have been coming to the area for decades.
