Period features enhance this lovely Victorian house with stunning views of countryside yet 1 hour from Edinburgh, close to A1, near to coast (Eyemouth) and just ten minutes form Berwick Station – warm kitchen with Aga offers home cooked breakfast- car parking.
My house is unique. Old stone, large windows,
high ceilings, wide doorways – very solid and lovely. I much enjoy having guests to stay and helping them plan their sightseeing days, and advising on good places to eat locally of which there is good diversity.
To the rest of the house and garden with a large field in front with a walking track. Anyone wanting a countryside walk has the choice of walking through woods, by the river or in open countryside around the village (which has an excellent village shop well stocked) and Hemelvaart beers cafe. ( look on Ayton village website for more information)
My stock of local leaflets on The Borders and Northumberland gives an excellent insight into all that can be seen and done locally. I am able to give suggested itineraries on where to go and when around here.
Most wonderful base from which to visit the
Scottish Borders and the coastal area – enough to keep anyone busy for a month! Either nature lovers or those wishing to explore historical border country, play golf on the many link courses or walk in stunning scenery.
