RAG RUG Xmas Wreath Workshop:

This is an easy ‘no sew’ workshop utilising the most diverse array of fabric scraps to create a wonderful and entirely original Christmas Wreath. Spend a day amongst colour and creative fun. Who knew torn up old rags could create stunning and entirely original Christmas wreaths. At ReTweed we hate to throw anything away so this craft is just up our upcycling street. Come along to this workshop and you’ll be amazed at how easy it is to create something completely original and totally impactful to decorate your home this year and every year thereafter.

You will be provided with the materials you need during the class but as the charm of rag art and manufacturing is often in the memories attached to old clothes, you’re welcome to bring along any of your own clothing or textiles you’d like to incorporate, particularly if you have clothing with sentimental value that you’d like to use. We hate throwing anything away and sometimes, some of the ugliest textiles transform to the most dynamic works of art.

The workshop will be led by ReTweed’s Chief Officer – Nicky Francey (so you’re getting the big cheese for the day 😊). Nicky had huge success at developing and delivering online workshops for children and adults alike including a bit of ragging. She knows her stuff and is the hostess with the mostest and known for a wicked sense of humour.

Experience Level: Beginners welcome. All materials, accessories and haberdashery are included.
